Cathedral Outside Ganina Mine

To own this comfortable and solid tray is nothing short of a luxury.  Multiple usage with “legs” or with folded legs. This tray will be lovely on display in modern or antique interiors. Great for lighting rooms with candles and crystal glasses. I am sure the tray will bring a delightful surprise and sophistication to your room’s décor. I put together a very attractive setting which consisted of a polished silver ice bucket with antique bourbon glasses. No longer do I need to keep such beautiful gifts tucked away.  I love to enjoy the best of things everyday.

This photo looks like a gingerbread house and some may say that it looks like a scene from the Hansel and Gretel play.  It is not a gingerbread house.  It’s a small cathedral which is part of a larger male monastery.  The photographer travelled to a male monastery, on the outskirts of Ekaterinburg in Siberia; which was built around an abandoned mineshaft called Ganina Yama or roughly translated in English: “Ganina Mine”.  If truth be told, the last czar of Russia, Nicholas, along with his wife, children and servants were executed by a Bolshevik firing squad in 1918 and then, after that, their remains were disposed of into Ganina Mine, quite literally.
