My Story

Hi Everyone,

I found this wonderful opportunity called Blogging where I can express my thoughts in writing on issues and topics I am passionate about.

I don’t know how frequent my posts will be, but I will try to keep it as regular as possible.

According to Google, anyone can create their own Blog. As for me, it can be a Morning Blog, Lunch or Dinner Blog, an Evening Blog; moody or cheerful. I will avoid making it too emotional though, because it’s only a piece of software which allows us to write online, a so-called ‘DIARY’ for our websites (Byrd, 2017).

This is my first beginner’s post.

A few months ago, I decided to open my own small business. The creative ideas started during a shopping trip in a large homeware store when I needed to buy a kitchen carrying tray. Looking through the various sizes, I found one tray which was suitable, however it was blank and dull in colour. I started looking for the same size tray with a brighter appearance. I noticed a gentleman looking through a stack of trays like me and so, I asked him if he had seen a tray with a picture on the cover.

He said “no” and he wanted to select a tray which his parents can use in the nursing home where they live, but the trays on display were “too plain”. Still sorting through dozens of trays, I found a lovely tray at last, but it was the only one. I said, “please take it to your parents”, but the man refused because he needed two trays. Therefore, we were both looking for trays. After a while we found what we were looking for, said goodbye to each other, walked to the checkout counter with smiles.  This is how it started. I was keen on the idea of creating something attractive and practical at the same time.

I am fascinated by people who have inspired others in business and in life. I love to read about Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin group, he said “Complexity is your enemy. Any fool can make something complicated. It is hard to make something simple” (Richard Branson, 2012).  That’s exactly what I wanted in my products.  Simple and useful items for everyday use, things which can bring people happiness and joy simply by handling items and looking at items; as well as being useful in our everyday lives. Even if my “journey” may not be an easy one, the ideas for design came from a simple concept. After all, I agree with Roy Bennett when he said “Stop doing what is easy. Start doing what is right” (Roy T. Bennett, 2014).

I truly hope you’ll have a minute to look through our product range, think, visualise and click on the links, ask any questions and read my future posts.  We will be happy to welcome you as our valuable customer.

Yours Heart2Heart Design!!!
